At this point, the facility owner or operator must decide which way to report the non-EHS hazardous chemicals which are present at the facility. EPA provides you with the option of reporting the rest of the chemicals by providing the required information on each hazardous component of each mixture present at the facility, or by providing the required information on each mixture as a whole. EPA provided these options to allow regulated facilities to report in the most expedient way for them (i.e., a facility with 10 products containing benzene may choose to report on benzene, the HC, rather than on each of the 10 products, however, a facility which has one product that contains 8 different Hcs could find it more convenient to report on the one product rather than on the 8 individual Hcs).
