Determing Which Hazardous Chemicals Exceed Thresholds
(continued)

The following is an iterative procedure in which you will be completing each Optional Aggregation Worksheet A which was started in Step 4 of this module. This procedure involves choosing an individual EHS, searching the Inventory Worksheets (or other inventory method if the Worksheets were not used) for all products which contain that EHS, and recording these products on the Optional Aggregation Worksheet A for that particular EHS. Continue performing this procedure on all the other EHSs listed in the Inventory.

Step 6

Choose one Optional Aggregation Worksheet A which has not been started for an EHS.

Step 7

Do any products that are not exempt from Section 311 and 312 listed on the Optional Comprehensive Inventory Worksheets contain hazardous chemicals with names or CAS numbers which match the names or CAS numbers of the EHS for which the Optional Aggregation Worksheet A was begun?

Yes

Step 7A

Record the products containing the EHS on the Optional Aggregation Worksheet A for the EHS. Be sure to record the product name (Section 2, Column F), the maximum quantity of product on the site at any one time (Section 2, Column G), the weight percent of the particular EHS contained in the product (Section 2, Column H), and the information source (Section 2, Column J).

Step 7B

Calculate the maximum quantity of EHS on-site in each product by multiplying the weight in Column G by the percent in Column H for each row. Record the maximum on-site weight of EHS in each product for each row in Column I.

Step 7C

Add together all the weights in Column I to obtain the total maximum on-site weight of EHS. Record this total weight on line K.
